Director's Message

The Alard School of Business Management is one of the latest constituents of the Alard Group of Institutions, which was established in 2007. In keeping with the norms, standards and expectations of the AICTE, it aims to achieve academic excellence in management education and training and build sound professionals to serve with Public / Private / Corporate sector.

In today’s business context, Management Education & Training demands a diagnostic approach to understand the differences between what is needed by the business organizations / industries and what is being offered by business schools and training centers to management students / trainees, because what was done yesterday does not necessarily remains a formula for success in the volatile market today.

Since we have the autonomy to conduct the PGDM program in the desired manner subject to, of course, prior approval by AICTE for any major changes, we follow this diagnostic approach and make our constant endeavor to provide need based management education and training to our students. Our updated course curriculum, competent faculty, innovative teaching methodologies, intense institution-industry interface, research oriented studies and assignments, state-of-the-art infrastructure and, above all, the value additions for over-all development of students; are the differential hallmarks of our institute.

I am very confident that all the students aspiring to join our two years full time PGDM program will have an eventful tenure of their academic pursuit and  prove to be assets to whichever organization they join in the days to come.

Note:

  • Common subjects are compulsory for all students.
  • Electives are the subjects of specilizations offered in four streams i.e. Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and Information Technology.

  Co-Curricular & Extra-Curricular Activities:

Besides the structure course syllabi, a host of co – curricular and extra- curricular activities,  such as Seminars, Workshops, Guest Lectures, Project / Field assignments, Industrial Visits, inter-college competition, Debates and presentations,  Interaction with Rural masses and awareness to social responsibility and Blood donation Camps etc. are organized by the institute  round the year to give supplementary knowledge  and experience to students. These activities also help in talent search and development of all around personality of students.

Distinctive Features of Program:
a) Reorientation / Induction Program - Post admission to PGDM but before starting of the academic sessions, induction program is conducted involving introduction and interaction between senior and junior students, faculty and students, awareness of the institutes to include programs / activities conducted at the campus, infrastructures and facilities available, knowledge of Pune city, including location of various educational institutes, hospitals, rail and road heads, airport, food and eateries corners, places of historical interests and other places of importance. The program aims to provide knowledge of the institute and the city in general, so as to make them feel comfortable and confident. 
           
b) Career Counseling (CC) – This program aims to provide best career options available to students, based on a SWOT analysis of the student’s profile and discovery of his / her innate qualities and latent talents. 
 
c) Base Capsule Course (BCC) – It has different modules for enhancement of professional/ Current knowledge, development of Communication skills, including English and Foreign Languages, Physical and mental health, soft skills and Leadership
 
Placement Cell:
The ASBM has a well equipped placement cell for carrying out placement activities round the year. Under the guidance of a placement Director, the Placement Committee works through networking with Corporate, Public Sector and Private Enterprises.  It lays emphasis on development of all around personality of students, as per the needs and expectations of the employers and ensures 100% placements of all deserving students. 
 
Admission Procedure:
Eligibility Criteria for Admission:
For PGDM Two Years Full Time Courses, Graduates in any stream with minimum 50% marks from any recognized University/ College.
However, in case of PGDM two years part time course, besides 50% minimum marks from any recognized University / College, a minimum three years of work experience is a mandatory requirement  

Admission Procedure:
Admissions to all of the above courses have already started, based on the scores obtained in MAT and  CAT and scores obtained in   Group Discussions and Personal Interviews (GDPI), which is to be conducted by the institute.

Fees Structure:
PGDM Two Years Full Time - Rs. 2 Lakhs Per Annum
PGDM Two Years Full Time (Marketing) - Same as above
 
PGDM Part Time - Rs. 35000/- Per Annum
 
Cancellation of Admission and Refund of Fees:
Within 15 days after admission will mean a 50% refund and cancellation beyond 15 days will mean no refunds.

Infrastructure and Facilities

Classrooms with Audio Visual Facilities


Creatively shaped Classroom can be very instrumental in learning process. All classrooms of ASBM are spacious, well illuminated and ventilated. All classrooms are equipped with Audio facilities and the students have access to LCD and OHP for presentation.  The serine environment at the campus provides a good ambiance for learning.  

 

 

Seminar Hall
 The ASBM has carefully built state-of-the-art Seminar Hall, which can comfortably house around 100 students at a time. The Seminar Hall is designed keeping in mind all the modern requirements like inbuilt Audio visuals systems, LCD’s and Projectors etc.

Computer Lab
The ASBM houses a state-of-the-art Computer Lab with latest software solutions and internet connectivity. All Pentium PC’s are LAN connected with Windows Server and the institute provides free internet facilities throughout the day to all students and faculty members. The Computer Lab has 46 workstations with a view to provide separate PC to every student as and when required. 

 

Library
The ALARD School of Business is well equipped with all modern facilities, which any B-School is expected to have, besides a good stock of the text books, reference books and periodicals to include magazines, Business reviews, journals and latest publications on different topics of management. Besides, academic subjects, literature on Indian Culture, Philosophy and Yoga are also available. There is also a facility available for online reference and studies of books & periodicals. 


 Gymnasium & Sports Facilities 
 A Health Body has a Healthy Mind.  We have three dimensional approach to develop all around personality of our students, vis-à-vis, physical, Mental and Metaphysical state of being. It is this requirement that has made ASBM to have a state-of -the-art Gym and facilities for indoor / outdoor games and Sports.

Hostel Accommodation
Convenient accommodation at affordable rates is a major problem in the city of Pune. Keeping this requirement in mind, ASBM has taken care to make available separate hostels for Boys and Girls with all the modern facilities and security arrangements. The Canteen provides choice full dishes to all students, faculty and staff members at the campus.
